This
office building in Columbus, Ohio, housing Nationwide Insurance and
managed by Duke Realty was just 8 years old and in great shape except
for the parking lot which was looking more like 25.
IRS
Consulting Inc. evaluated the parking lot and drive way and concluded
that drainage was a large part of the problem and the solution. Drainage
was missing or inadequate along the high side of the lot where water
was infiltrating from a hillside. It had been installed below the
hardpan level where water couldn’t reach it along the boulevard.
A
J Asphalt Maintenance & Paving Co. tore back a band of pavement
and installed 12-inch Multi-Flow along the high side of the lot to
intercept the infiltrating water. They also installed Multi-Flow along
the boulevard, placing it at a more effective depth.
